On the 16th of September,2021; the National President of Nigerian Scholars in Germany (NiSIG e.V) in the person of Mr. Emmanuel Fadipe visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Abuja, Nigeria as part of the assigned areas of visitation discussed by the Project/Development Committee of NiSIG e.V.

The visitation was fueled mainly as a result of the numerous challenges explained by the prospective scholars currently in Nigeria who complained of not having the chance to have appointment dates for their Visa interview. The challenge (among many others) which has been a blockage to the opportunity to come to Germany and resume their academic activities has been carefully looked into by the National Executives for some time with an aim to combat it and provide a lasting solution.

During the Visit of the National President to the Consul General of Nigeria to Germany’s office on the 19th of August, these challenges were extensively narrated to His Excellency, Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande who promised to be of assistance despite the fact that this is not within the jurisdiction of his role of the office.

He further advised that the National President employ the route of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to add to his efforts to ensure the incoming scholars have their heart desires and have their dreams come to reality in good time.

During the visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the former Head of Missions, Nigerian Embassy in Germany in the person of Ambassador Mobalaji Ogundero was delighted to receive the National President of NiSIG e.V who she worked with while she was in Germany.

It is believed that in due time this timely intervention will be good enough in rescuing the current situation at hand and in high hopes backed with reminding persistence the challenges of our incoming scholars will be a thing of the past.

We promise to update our scholars on the situation report on this and lots more.

We are devoted to ensuring that we give all our scholars the best in all areas of life and we will stay committed to this course till our last second in office.

Thank you for your interest and dedication towards the growth and development of NiSIG e.V

Best Regards,
Precious Ezeigwe
National General Secretary
