Admission into a master’s courses in any discipline requires a Bachelor degree in the field or related field in which he or she wants to apply for. Eligibility of students gaining admission is a function of the candidates meeting the requirements of the admission committee granting the admission.
Although the official language of instruction is German language, most Universities offers courses that are entirely in English. While others are partly English and German with percentage ranging from 80-20 %, 60-40 % or 50-50 % respectively depending on the course and the University.
Applicants for Masters in most German Universities are expected to show a very good previous academic record. In most cases, you may be asked to provide TOEFL (Test of English as a foreign language) certificate as a proof that you have good command of English language. Generally, a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) / 213 (computer-based) / 79 (internet-based) or IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5 is required. However, some universities may accept a good proof that the language of instruction from primary school to Undergraduate level was entirely conducted in English.
